Thank you for coming to planDisney with your planning question, Mike. I would be happy to help point you in the right direction of potential discounts and savings opportunities! Visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort in the fall sounds perfect, from the idealistic weather to the special events available like
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and
EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival, I couldn’t picture a better time to vacation. As someone who likes to get the best bang for my buck, I can certainly understand wanting to take advantage of any savings opportunity available.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a discount exclusively for Disney shareholders, however, there are different ways you can plan your vacation and take advantage of potential savings opportunities. First, I would recommend visiting the
Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page to see what current promotions are being offered. Currently, two promotions are being offered at this time that may be of interest:
• Save up to 35% on rooms at select Disney Resort Collection hotels.
• A FREE dining plan when booking a room and theme park ticket with the Park Hopper option.
*These offers are subject to change and have specific criteria to be eligible.
Another way to save would be through the Disney Visa Debit Card or Disney Visa Credit Card.
The
Disney Visa Debit card currently offers perks like 10% off select merchandise at select locations, 10% off select dining locations most days, 15% off select guided tours, 10 – 20% off select purchases at select locations, and Disney Character Experiences with complimentary downloads of your photos.
The
Disney Visa Credit Card has two card options (Disney Premier Visa Card and Disney Visa Card) and gives card members virtually the same perks as those above, but you can also earn Disney Rewards Dollars to redeem during your vacation. Our family uses this card throughout the year so we can build up enough money to either purchase a theme park ticket or have spending money for food and souvenirs throughout our stay. Currently, Premier cardmembers will earn 5% in Disney Rewards Dollars on purchases made directly at Disneyplus, Hulu, or ESPNplus, 2% on purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, and most Disney locations in the U.S. Cardmembers will also earn 1% on all other card purchases. Disney Visa Cardmembers earn 1% on all card purchases. I like to use this card to build up the Disney Reward Dollars and then use it as the card on file when booking our stay in a Disney Resort Collection hotel so all of our charges can take advantage of the various discounts, if applicable.
I hope this information helps you with your Disney vacation planning, Mike. If you have any additional questions, please come back to planDisney, or
submit me a question if you choose!
Thanks,
Brent
