Aloha, Myrsini!
Mahalo for stopping by planDisney to discuss my favorite
hunk, a hunk of burning love, Experiment 626!
The amount of Stitch merchandise in my home makes every day feel like a celebration of our
cute and fluffy blue pal, but June 26 is always extra special for fans of the mischievous extraterrestrial because of its numeric significance. While there are so many fun ways to celebrate the day from home — like putting on your favorite Elvis record and eating a peanut butter sandwich — I can think of no better way to show your
burning love for Stitch than by spending 6/26 with him at a Disney Destination!
Unfortunately, Walt Disney World has not yet confirmed any celebrations for 2025, but a quick glance at
2024's International Stitch Day post on the Disney Parks Blog tells us we might be able to expect exclusive Stitch-inspired treats at select dining locations across
Walt Disney World Resort.
While these were the only official celebrations in 2024, because Stitch is currently meeting Guests in Tomorrowland, you'll likely have the opportunity to say 'hiiiii' and maybe even share a hula if you stop by during one of his scheduled appearance times conveniently listed in the My Disney Experience app. Looking for more quality time with your blue bestie? Consider making a dining reservation for the
Best Friends Breakfast at 'Ohana in Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Here you'll not only be greeted by Stitch, but you'll even see him on your waffle!
My final recommendation before we part ways with a hearty
aloha is to be sure you're sporting Stitch-inspired apparel for the celebration. I'd never dream of calling him vain, but in my experience, Stitch loves seeing himself depicted on clothing and accessories. I've always had such fun interactions with him while donning my Hawaiian or galactic finest!
I wish I had been able to share a more definitive answer, Myrsini, but like you, I'm still anxiously awaiting an update on this year's celebrations. Let's plan on keeping an eye on
Walt Disney World's social media and the
Disney Parks Blog so we can be some of the first to know when the information is announced. Of course, there's plenty to do while we wait...like go see Lilo & Stitch in the theatres opening night!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
