Hi Stephanie. I am a fellow Ontarian who will be visiting in March. We have the DDp, but my husband is worried we will have to chose from a special menu, is this true or are all options open to us? Difference between a la carte and prixe fix? thanks!

    Hi Grace,

Thanks for sending me your question, it is always nice to hear from a fellow Ontarian!  I am glad to hear that your family will be using the Disney Dining Plan, I am sure you will find it very simple and easy to use.  With the Disney Dining Plan, guests are free to choose an entree, dessert and non alcoholic beverage from the menu at participating Table Service Locations.  If you choose to order other items such as appetizers and specialty drinks you will be required to pay for the difference.  A la carte dining is where guests are free to choose their meal from a menu and prices vary.  Prix Fixe is where the chef has put together a few selections for entrees, desserts and sometimes appetizers that compliment each other, and guests are able to choose from the selections at a fixed price.  No matter what you order off the Prix Fixe Menu, the cost remains the same.  Please keep in mind that although your meals are included with the Disney Dining Plan, gratuity is not included at Table Service and Signature Dining Locations.

I hope that helps Grace.  Please let me know if you have any other questions, I would be happy to help.
