Hi Lisa,
Congratulations on planning your first trip to Walt Disney World Resort; I'm sure you will fall in love with the magic of Disney! Being from Canada, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be a little overwhelming; there is a huge amount of planning involved, if you want to maximize your vacation time. I'm not sure of your girls ages, or where you are in the planning stages, so I will offer some of my general tips and advice.
Start planning early. Do not leave dining reservations until the last minute, they book quickly, and you do not want to miss out on your first choice or preferred dining time! Once you have booked your vacation package or dining reservations, you are able to modify your reservations. If available, Walt Disney World will honour any promotions that become available, you just have contact a Disney Agent.
Make a daily plan for your vacation. Start by figuring out what theme park you are going to visit each day, list the must do attractions for your family, and include any dining plans if you would like to make a dining reservation. I find that if you have a plan, you will not leave for home thinking you missed out on an attraction or experience that you really wanted to see or do.
I'm not sure where you are in relation to the United States, but I also find it more economical to fly out of an American airport. Also, instead of wasting valuable space in your luggage, I always order basic grocery supplies, toiletries and baby care items from the
Garden Grocer. They will deliver everything to your Resort room!
I'm afraid I've run out of space! If you could give me a few more details concerning your plans and your families likes I would be happy to help you make the most out of your first trip to Walt Disney World Resort!
