    Hi Diana,

I did learn this summer while we were staying at Kidani Village at the Animal Kingdom Lodge that there are indeed several views when staying in a standard room, one of which is a partial savannah view.  And I would certainly include this request in your reservation and also contact the resort prior to your visit (no guarantees, however) by reading Disney Moms Jodi's nicely answered question here. The number for the Animal Kingdom Lodge is 407-938-3000. I think it certainly won't hurt to include a note about hubby's birthday, too.

My fingers are crossed that you get a great view!
