We will be staying at YC for my son's 10th birthday. Can my sister, nieces and nephew, who are staying at AoA join us in the pool (Storm along bay) on the day of his birthday? My son wishes to celebrate poolside. Thanks=)

Hi Brandi-Ann! Celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World is truly a special event for any age. Proudly wearing the birthday button or receiving a cake for a meal makes everyone smile.

The Disney resort pools are closed to all guests except those who are staying at that particular resort. The Yacht and Beach Club Resorts facility is called Stormalong Bay. It is a three acre water wonderland with some areas having a sandy bottom. Because this is one of the largest and most spectacular swimming facilities on property they have a strict closed rule to all other guests except the Yacht and Beach resort guests. Your family would not be able to enjoy the facilities during their stay.

I would like to suggest though that they meet you for lunch at Beaches and Cream Soda Shop. This is located between the resorts and just outside of the pool area. You could take a break from swimming and meet up and possibly try finishing the great Kitchen Sink dessert sundae. Make sure you bring your camera for all the fun photos you would surely catch during this event.

And please don't forget that Disney does have two great water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach where ALL Disney guests can enjoy a day swimming and having fun!
