Hi- staying at Yacht Club in sept (10 year anniversary!) and want to get to Poly for. 9:30 breakfast. Can we just walk to Epcot and then take the Epcot monorail to the TTC and switch to the resort mono to the Poly? Thanks!!!

    Hi Cynthia!

Wow, it is so awesome that you are staying at the Yacht Club Resort to celebrate your 10th wedding anniversary!  Yes, you could choose to walk through Epcot to take the Monorail from the front of Epcot to the Ticket and Transportation Center and then transfer to the Resort Monorail to get to the Polynesian Resort but if you choose this route then you will have to take note of several things. The first thing is that Epcot has to be open and it would require a park ticket (or a ticket with the park hopper option) to get into Epcot to walk to the front gate to get the Monorail. The second is that the Epcot Monorail goes to the Ticket and Transportation Center (the TTC) and then you have to transfer to the Resort Monorail to get to the Polynesian. This route will take you 40 to 60 minutes or more--the Monorail part of the trip from Epcot to the TTC is around 30 to 40 minutes by itself. The best way to get to the Polynesian Resort from the Yacht Club Resort that I have found is to take a bus from the Yacht Club Resort to the Magic Kingdom and then the Resort Monorail or a boat to the Polynesian Resort. This bus ride is approximately 15-20 minutes once you are on the bus to get to the Magic Kingdom and then about 10 to 15 minutes to get from the Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian Resort. Just make sure to factor in the travel time so that you can get to your Advanced Dining Reservation on time.

I hope that your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
