Hey there, Holly, and welcome back to planDisney! It’s always great to see a fellow Alabamian here planning out their next Walt Disney World adventure. Your upcoming visit also falls during one of my favorite times to visit the resort. You get the chance to eat your fill for Thanksgiving and experience Christmas at Walt Disney World in the same week! Talk about kicking off the holidays right.
Holly,
Guest Park Hopping privileges currently begin at 2 p.m. EST each day. While I can’t definitively state that nothing will change before your arrival date, I’m not aware of a plan to remove the current Park Hopping restrictions. If hours ever do change, the
My Disney Experience mobile app will always have the most up-to-date Park Hopper hours, so I suggest reviewing it frequently.
In my opinion, reserving
EPCOT each day is a fantastic plan - primarily because you can snag a spot in the
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind virtual queue every day! On my most recent visit, we reserved Epcot as our first park each day, snacked around “The World” at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival for lunch, and then park hopped to a different Theme Park each day at 2 pm. It was perfect for us, but may not be the best strategy for everyone. It will really depend on your vacation goals. If you would like to experience as many attractions as possible, you may want to reserve a different Theme Park each day and enter at rope drop to maximize your time in the park. But if you’d like a more leisurely trip and would really like to take in the culture of the Theme Park, starting in EPCOT is a great option! You could spend a week there alone and still have more to see!
And staying at
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort means transportation is no concern! So Hakuna Matata - it means no worries! Your resort is within walking distance of EPCOT and
Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The walk to EPCOT is around 10 minutes, and it takes around 20 minutes to Hollywood Studios. And if you would prefer not to walk to Hollywood Studios, you can always grab a seat on
Disney’s Skyliner at the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT and take a fantastic voyage over the Theme Parks and resorts in the area. Additionally, the
Disney Bus Transportation is available from each
Disney Resorts Collection hotel to the Theme Parks.
I hope this helps, Holly! If you have more questions while planning your vacation,
stop back by and let me know! You’ve got a friend in me,
PG
