We're staying at the Yacht Club, 1/15, celebrating my son's 7th bday. We're WDW fanatics who have visited many, many times. I'm looking for unique ways to celebrate his bday. I booked pirate's league/character meals/ etc. What else can we do? Thanks!

Hi Lynn!  So happy you've stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I love celebrating birthdays at Walt Disney World.  My now 7 year old has spent plenty of them celebrating with her good friend Minnie Mouse.  The first suggest I want to make is to grab a "Happy Birthday" button for him when you check in at your resort.  They will write his name on it and he can wear it the entire vacation if he wishes.  He will get many birthday well wishes from Cast Members and Guests, it is a really great way to make people feel special on their birthdays.  Hopefully, when you made your reservations, the Cast Member asked if you were celebrating anything special and you told them about the birthday boy.  Make sure to remind them when you check in to restaurants, but he will probably receive a small desert of his very own wishing him happy birthday!  You might also want to check out Disney Floral & Gifts for an in room celebration.  It could be fun to have a special gift from Mickey Mouse waiting in the room when you return from the parks one day.

It sounds like you already have such an awesome birthday celebration for your son planned.  I am sure it will be one he always remembers.  If I can help you with anything else, please come back and ask.  From all of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, wish your son a very Happy Happy Birthday!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
