Hi we are staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort (not Disney property) and were looking for the best place for us to have an adult dinner and maybe see a show too somewhere. We will have a 5 day park hopper pass though so we can go in the park too.

    Hello Joanna,

Dining at Walt Disney World happens to be one of my favorite things to do. Don't get me wrong, I love going to the parks and doing the attractions, but I simply love trying new places and experiencing new dishes. Some of my favorite restaurants to splurge on for a nice dinner with just my husband are:
    • Jiko-The Cooking Place at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - My husband and I actually celebrated our anniversary here and it instantly became one of my favorites. The atmosphere is stunning and the eclectic offerings with authentic African flavors were absolutely delicious. I went in with cautious expectations, not sure if I would enjoy that type of food and left completely satisfied. I highly recommend the Taste of Africa, with a sampling of dips and Naan, and the short ribs are in a word, amazing! My husband was also very pleased to find the extensive list of South African wines.
    • Monsieur Paul in France at Epcot - You will be transported to a fine Parisian dining experience where you will receive wonderful service and some superb French cuisine. I have dined here several times and a couple of times was seated at a window table and was able to watch Illuminations - Reflections of Earth from there. Keep in mind that your dining time would have to coincide with the fireworks/laser show and requests for a window table can't be guaranteed. However, you could also plan an earlier dining time, then head outside and enjoy a cocktail while watching the show from a nearby spot along World Showcase Lagoon.
    • La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil - One of my favorite shows is found in Downtown Disney. The acrobatics and performances are absolutely breathtaking and could provide the perfect activity for an adult night out. On most days, there are two performance times, so you could choose one that works best around your dinner. Raglan Road or Paradiso 37 are excellent restaurants to accompany your evening at the show.

    Enjoy!
