We will be staying at World Center Orlando for Run Disney princess 1/2 marathon weekend in February. -does the shuttle pickup at that hotel? -how much is parking at TTC if we were to drive our own car in and take the monorail to the parks? (EPCOT and MK)

Welcome to planDisney and runDisney, Ryan! As my favorite princess teaches us, a pair of shoes can change your life! There is nothing more inspiring than seeing all the princesses, princes, and characters of every sort smiling while putting in all those miles.

For your question about transportation, busses are available for Guests staying in a hotel at Walt Disney World Resort, Shades of Green® or Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. There will be information on parking as part of the Digital Weekend Guide, which will be emailed to you and available online closer to the race. This guide will include important information on parking and road closures. Most races begin and end at EPCOT. a short drive from World Center Orlando. Parking is free for runners and spectators during the runDisney event and at the ESPN Wide World of Sports expo for bib pick-up. The races are early, but the roads will be set up with traffic patterns leading drivers to the parking locations so you can find your way, even before coffee. Just make sure you are parked before the road closures begin (usually 4 am, but be sure to check the digital guide).

A friend once told me, "If you are not dancing while running, you are not doing it right." I think this idea is the very essence of a runDisney race: run, put in the miles, and have fun doing it! After all the training miles and long run weekends, it truly is the largest run party with tutus, tiaras and triumphs.

    Happy running!
