Hi! We have been staying at WL for the past two trips. This year I'm considering Riverside to save money and to try something different. I'm completely torn because we love WL-the kids' pool, the beach, the movies, water parade, boat to MK -thoughts?

Hi Eliza, welcome to the Disney Parks Mom's Panel!

Disney's Wilderness Resort is a wonderful place to stay while at Walt Disney World, especially on the days relaxing at the resort.

Still, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside offers great comfort and many recreational activities as well.  Guests staying at either Port Orleans Resort can enjoy boat transportation to and from Downtown Disney, and get to enjoy 2 pools with waterslide.

All rooms feature queen beds and more than enough space and comfort.  Rooms at the Alligator Bayou are the only ones to feature a pull down-bunk bed featuring Louis the Alligator.  These rooms also have a woods-like feel that really helps set the mood when arriving at your resort.

When staying at the Port Orleans Resort we make the most of our vacation time by using a rental car - allowing us more time to sleep and visit the parks.

Disney Deluxe Resorts do offer excellent benefits, but Moderate Resorts are a great alternative when budget is a priority.
We always visit many deluxe resorts to enjoy their restaurants and to change pace and relax before heading back to the parks.

Thank you for visiting and letting us help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
Hope to hear again from you.
