    Staying at WL end of April. My DD5 HATES the noise of fireworks so we will leave MK before Wishes starts at 9. She might like to watch from a distance - I'm thinking Contemp. beach. How long to walk there from MK? How to get back to WL aftewards? Thx!

    Hi Meredith,

    There is actually a walking path from the Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary.  A leisurely stroll will take about 10 minutes (or you can hop on the resort monorail and hop off at the first stop).

    There is a marina at the Contemporary which you'll see when you are on the beach.  When you're ready to head back, simply take the boat to the Wilderness Lodge.  The boats depart every 15 minutes or so.
