Michael:
As a former cookbook editor, Disney is as much about the dining for me as the attractions!
Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's roasted chicken offers a contrast to
Peco's Bill's hamburger bar with all the fixins. Both provide cooler dining for the summer heat with Cosmic Ray's inside seating and Peco's Bill's dark, terra cotta nooks.
Animal Kingdom: If you like barbecue, you'll enjoy
Flame Tree BBQ. The portions are plenty and the shade of the trees provides a pleasant canopy under which to chow down on ribs! If you're dying for AC,
Pizzafari offers many dining rooms to enjoy a chicken caesar salad or pizza--I'm just not as jazzed about their boring pizza crust.
Hollywood Studios: Our kids like the chicken leg kid's meal at
Studio Catering while I prefer the greek salad. It's downside: it's outside....if you need some AC, head to
Toy Story Pizza Planet--but for cool air only. You'll find the same pre-made pizza crust that all other pizza places at Disney seem to offer.
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons. Most other counter services in the World Showcase only offer outside seating (ie. HOT). You'll be inside in the cool with LOTS of fresh offerings from a blue-plate special line to salads tossed before you.
But don't just take my opinion....click
here for some thoughts from Disney Dad Doug and click
here for Kim's list of counter service locations that crank up the AC!
Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
