Hi Moms! We'll be staying at the WL from 7/25 - 7/31 - can't wait! In order to get from WL to Epcot, would it be faster to take the boat to MK or CR & then take the monorail to Epcot? Or would it take less time to catch a bus to Epcot? Thanks!

    Hi Lauren,

It's quicker to just take the bus to Epcot; it will take about 22 minutes plus the time you spend waiting for your bus.  Lucky people only wait 5 minutes or so.  I always seem to get to the bus stop just as the bus I need is pulling away -- Murphy's Law.  So you'll want to factor in an extra 15 minutes to your travel time.

Taking the boat followed by the monorail is much more scenic, but it is definitely a longer trip.  Plus you have to factor in additional wait time for both the boat AND the monorail.  If your family thinks of the monorail as an attraction, it really can be a fun trip, but it won't get you to Epcot faster.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
