We will be staying at WL and have only booked the hotel. As for tickets my father is a Florida resident. Can he purchase our park tickets for discount .? or do you need park tickets booked with a hotel to get the extra magic hours benefit?

    Hi Carolyn!

Tickets to the theme parks can be purchased separately, as the extra magic hours are tied to your resort stay and you'll need to show your resort room key as proof of that at the theme parks.
However, you should know that for Florida resident tickets to be used, each ticket holder must show valid Florida ID proving residency. From the Disney website it says it can be: a FL driver's license, state issued ID card, FL voter's registration card with a corresponding picture ID, a FL college ID, or FL based military ID.
As a Florida resident that purchases these tickets, I can attest to the fact that Disney has checked our ID's every time! I hope this helps, come back to the Moms Panel if you have anymore questions!
