If you are staying within WDW are you allowed to use another hotels pool?

Hi Patty! Staying at a Walt Disney World resort will make your vacation extra magical. Each resort will have a themed pool and many will have slides and other features. But they will all be different in their own way making the choice of your Resort even harder.

The Deluxe resorts will have the most intricate pools and that might include bigger slides, sandy bottoms, or waterfalls. But the moderate and value resorts will offer just as nice facilities and often the larger resorts will offer more then one pool to enjoy.

The news for you though is that you will not be able to "pool hop" from resort to resort during your stay. Disney has had to step up and secure their pools for the safety of their guests. Each pool has a set number of life guards on duty and it is geared to the capacity of that resort. If guests were allowed to go to any pool you would find some completely over crowded. Most of the resorts now have entry where guests must show their magic band or key card that shows they are indeed that resort guest.

If a resort has a pool under refurbishment then they will direct all their guests to the closest resort pool where they will be welcome to come and enjoy during this time. You will never be without a pool to use but you just can't go to another resort. And don't forget about the two great Disney water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach!
