Staying at Ft. Wild.w/RV and will have AP voucher in hand to switch for AP pass. Can I check in with voucher, leave RV at campgrd and go to park for AP pass and bring it back to show? AK opens early on arrival date. Can't haul RV everywhere.

Hi Jerry!  I too am a fellow RV camper at Fort Wilderness and we spend a lot of time there as it is one of the most peaceful places to enjoy the magic of Disney!

You can check in early at Fort Wilderness but understandably the site is likely not going to be ready for you at that time of the morning. There is a parking lot to the right once you have checked in at the main building where they will direct you to park for the day. Once you have parked proceed to the main bus area which is visible in front of the check-in outpost building. Catch the Animal Kingdom bus and bring with you your Annual Pass voucher.  When you arrive at the Animal Kingdom park head to one of the Guest Services windows at the front before the entrance gates. They will be glad to exchange your voucher and present you with your new Annual Pass. We are also AP holders and usually renew them right at the first park we visit versus the resorts. We find it just as easy to do it this way and doesn't take any more time.

When you are done at the park hop on a bus back to Fort Wilderness where you can then find out your loop and site number and park your home away from home for the remainder of your vacation stay! Enjoy!
