We are staying at Ft Wilderness and wondered if you can bring your own golf cart or 4 wheeler for travel around the campsite. Thanks!

Hi Tina! Fort Wilderness is a great place to enjoy using a golf cart. Although Disney does offer to their guests golf cart rentals during their stays you are also allowed to bring your own vehicle as long as it adheres to the rules and regulations that this resort has set. Many guests have their own and my own family enjoys bringing our special cart for each trip.

Carts are not allowed to go beyond the Fort Wilderness resort boundaries and you must be aware of the speed limits for the roads. If a bus has stopped in a road all vehicles including golf carts are expected to stop from both directions and wait until the bus starts up. They also must adhere to the one way direction of the loops no matter how tempting it is to just go a few feet out the "wrong" way. Too many accidents happen due to guests ignoring the rules of the road as all other vehicles must abide by.

Enjoy your cart and enjoy exploring the loops. We love to ride each night through the loops just to see the decorations. Trailer parking for your stay can be done in the front lot so you don't have to worry about where to put the cart trailer while you are there.
