Hi there we are staying at Ft Wilderness the week of Nov 2nd to Nov 9th. Will the Magic Kingdom have their Christmas decorations up by then and some of the resorts ? And does Ft Wilderness decorate for Christmas ? Thanks !!!

    Hi Derinda!

Christmas is my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World.  We always spend a few days in a cabin at Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in December.  Christmas decorations begin going up immediately after Halloween, so you should be able to see a good bit of holiday cheer around the resort.  The first decorations to go up is the garland on the lamp posts that line Main Street, U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom.

The best part about Fort Wilderness during Christmas is seeing all of the decorations that the guests set up at their campsites.  Last year, a campsite set up a walk through winter wonderland with tons of inflatable displays.  If you haven't reserved a golf cart for your stay, I highly recommend it.  Our favorite activity is joy riding around the resort to see all of the decorations.  If you have some extra room in your suitcase, pack a strand of lights or two and set up some of your own holiday decor.

    Have a magical day!
