We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge for a week in May. How would it work if we would like to arrive one day earlier and stay at AOA for one night to experience that resort? Would we need to make a separate room only reservation? Thank you!

    Hi Sandra!

I hope you love Disney's Art of Animation Resort!  It is gorgeous, and on my list of resorts that I'm hoping to stay at!

Yes, you'll just make a separate, room only reservation for your night at Disney's Art of Animation.  The following morning, you can just call bell services from your in room phone and ask them for a luggage transfer.  They'll come to your room, tag and transfer your luggage to Disney's Wilderness Lodge for you while you head out to the parks.  Easy peasy!

Do make sure you keep anything with you that you'll need access to for the day, as your bags may not arrive to Disney's Wilderness Lodge until later in the day.  We've booked a 'split stay'  on many of our past vacations, and the transfer has been seamless.

If you have access to your own vehicle, you can absolutely transfer your luggage on your own.

    Have a magical vacation!
