Hello, We are going to be staying at the Wilderness Lodge and I wanted to know a bit more about the campfires and outdoor movies. When do they run? (days and times)... Also, is the kids club a drop off or do we have to pre plan? What is the charge? :)

    Hi Kelly,

You are inquiring about some of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World!

The campfires and movies under the stars at the Walt Disney World resorts typically run year-round, weather permitting. They are scheduled for every day. When you arrive at your resort, check the recreation guide that you are given. This will list the specific movies and times, as well as times for the campfire. Times vary throughout the year depending on sunset, so they are later in the summer and earlier in the winter. I called Disney's Wilderness Lodge and found out that today, in November, the campfire will start at 5:45 p.m. and the movie will start at 7:00 p.m. I assume that the times will be about the same or a little earlier in December.

My daughter loves a night at the Children's Activity Centers at Walt Disney World! We joke that even though we are excited to go out as adults, she often seems to look forward to her evenings there even more. She enjoys getting to eat her dinner there, and last time we visited was so excited that she was there late enough for cookies and milk! While you can drop children off at the centers without a reservation, I tend to make a reservation ahead of time just in case they fill up. This does not happen very often, but I prefer to be safe rather than sorry. The last time we visited, the charge was $11.50 per child per hour.  The Children's Activity Centers typically open at about 4:30 p.m. Children must be between the ages of 3 and 12 years old, and must be fully potty trained. To make a reservation, call (407) WDW-DINE (407-939-3463).

Have a wonderful time planning your vacation Kelly, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
