We are staying at The Wilderness Lodge Villas. We would like to have groceries delivered to our unit pre arrival. How do we go about doing that?

    Hiya, Karen!

Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that your magical vacation is just around the riverbend.  Our family loves the home-sweet-home amenities of Disney's Wilderness Lodge Villas, including the full-sized kitchen with gadgets and gizmos aplenty. It sure makes our family vacations even more magical after a fun Disney day to sit back and relax and allow the dining table to present our dinner.

Karen, you can choose to have groceries delivered from any grocery delivery service you like.  While our family uses Instacart, many families have deliveries from Walmart, Whole Foods, or Amazon Fresh, and several of my fellow planDisney panelists prefer Garden Grocer.  No matter which delivery service you choose, they can bring groceries to you at your Resort.

Now, here are a few things to know.  First, if you plan to have perishables delivered in your order, I recommend planning it for arrival after the 4:00 p.m. check-in time on arrival day.  While some of the Resorts can store perishables, many of them cannot and this varies from Resort to Resort. In Florida's heat, perishables can spoil quickly, so planning delivery after you are in your room will ensure these items can go directly to your refrigerator.

Second, I recommend putting your name, the Resort name and the Resort address on the order, as well as your cell phone number as a contact.  This ensures they can reach you when they arrive. The delivery addresses for each of the Resorts is as follows:

    Disney's Wilderness Lodge
    (Your Name)
(Your Room Number if you know it)
901 Timberline Dr, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Finally, when groceries arrive, you can have Bell Services deliver them to your room. However, please note they charge a $6 fee (prices subject to change) for each grocery delivery during your stay.  Alternatively, you can meet the delivery service in the lobby and then borrow a luggage cart to bring groceries to your room yourself, thereby avoiding this fee.

I hope this helps you, Karen. If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back and see me here and I'll be so happy to help you!  Remember, Disney Vacation Club Resorts are always your home away from home, wherever you wander and wherever you roam!

    See ya real soon!
