Staying at Wilderness Lodge for our upcoming trip, King Bed room type. Touring Plans showed only 17 rooms have those (12 if you don't count conceriege floor) but they are all Junior Suites. Will we still get a king size bed?

Hiya Katie, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You are counting down the DAYS to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and that calls for a HURRAY! I just returned from a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth, and I’m so excited for you to arrive and see the Mickey pumpkins on Main Street, U.S.A., have some delicious food and drink at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, and explore the Outer Rim of the galaxy at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’s a great time to be there!

I just checked with a Cast Member, who confirmed that because you have made a reservation at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge in the King Bed category, you can rest assured that you will indeed have a king-sized bed in your room. I had a king bed in my Disney resort room last week, and it was magnificent – so comfortable, and I slept like a…well, you know. If you’d like to double-check, you can call Walt Disney World Resort Reservations at (407) 939-1936; they will check your reservation number and confirm your room category and amenities.

I hope you have the best time at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Katie. It’s one of my very favorite resorts to explore, and I recommend checking with a Cast Member to see if they are currently offering any tours of the resort. A few years ago, I went on a really wonderful tour where we learned about the theming and special touches in this resort, including some time in the Carolwood Pacific Room, which is a tribute to Walt Disney’s love of trains and includes some very special pieces. Another thing I love to do there is get a cup of tea or coffee and a cupcake from Roaring Fork and enjoy them from one of the many lovely outdoor areas. If you head down to the boat dock at the right time, you can even enjoy your nightcap while watching the Electrical Water Pageant.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
