We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge, but I thought it might be fun for my 8-year old if we rode the monorail to Epcot. What is the easiest way to do this and how much time do we need to allow to get to Epcot before opening? Thank you!

    Hi Shelly!

Riding the Monorail from the Magic Kingdom to the Ticket and Transportation Center and then from the Ticket and Transportation Center to Epcot is one of my favorite things to do in Walt Disney World!  The easiest way to do this from the Wilderness Lodge is to take a boat or a bus from Wilderness Lodge Resort to the Magic Kingdom.  Then at the Magic Kingdom you will have to get on a Monorail to the Ticket and Transportation Center.  At the Ticket and Transportation Center transfer to the Monorail that is heading to Epcot.  This trip will take at least 60 minutes and maybe a little more time than that, but it is a wonderful journey especially if you love riding in a Monorail.  After your day at Epcot, you can take a bus back to the Wilderness Lodge which will be about 20 minutes of travel time.

I hope that you have a magical Monorail ride to Epcot on your next trip to Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
