We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge and have several character breakfasts at Grand Floridian, Polynesian and Contemporary between 7:30 and 8am. Will there be Disney buses available? What about the boat that goes to MK?

    Hi Irene!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

You will have a wonderful stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodge - my favourite resort!

Disney transportation starts operating approximately 60 minutes before theme park opening, so if the Magic Kingdom park is opening at 8.00 a.m. for Extra Magic Hours, the boats will being running at approximately 7.00 a.m., and you could certainly use this transport for your reservation at Disney's Contemporary Resort, as it is within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom entrance.  You could also take the monorail from the Magic Kingdom to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Disney's Polynesian Resort if the park is opening at 8.00 a.m.  The calendar for the Magic Kingdom is here, and you can check the opening times for the dates of your reservations.

Otherwise, there will be buses running for those attending early character dining.   Disney Transportation operates special buses to take guests to their character breakfast reservations.  You will need to speak with your Front Desk to confirm what time you should be waiting for your bus.  If you are waiting more than 20 minutes for your bus, you can call the Bus Operation Center directly at 407 824 7092 and tell them you need an immediate bus for character dining, and that you have been waiting for 20 minutes.

Enjoy your character dining!, and if you have any other questions please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation.
