Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge Sept 25-29. We have Chef Disney Breakfast at 7am at Contemporary. What is the best way to get there and how much travel time should we allot?

    Hi Ashley!  Your best bet is to catch the boat from the Wilderness Lodge to the Contemporary resort for your early Chef Mickey breakfast.  When I have discussed the early morning reservation times with the boat captains they have noted that they start this transportation as early as 6:45am.  I suggest you check with the resort and actually stop down at the boat launch the day before to get the latest information and timing so you do not miss your reservation.

    Personally, when families have such an early dining time I prefer to catch a taxi from the resort so we can spend more time sleeping and less time trying to get there.  Your resort valets will help you get a cab and if you note it the night before they often are able to have one ready to go that morning.

    Remember to give yourself enough time no matter how you decide to get there. The actual boat ride takes about 21 minutes and the cab ride only about 4 minutes but you have to build in plenty of wait times and walk time once you arrive at the Contemporary resort!  Enjoy this great dining experience!
