I will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge and saw there's a Tri-Circle-D ranch where you can explore the stables. We are thinking of bringing our bikes and I was wondering if there are paths to and from the Lodge to the campground and what's the distance?

Hi Allison! You can certainly ride bikes between the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. It is a good hike and although I am not sure of the distance I will guess about a mile or two. It is generally quiet and you can often see deer and other wildlife along the way making it extra fun.

The Disney stables is a place I love to walk around during each visit. Cinderella's ponies call this home and are stabled in the outside areas where you can enjoy walking around and saying hi as well as take pictures. If you have a little one you can also give them a pony ride...Nemo is my grandson's favorite four legged friend for this.

The stables have been under going a new roof and have been closed for indoor visitors but should be open at this time. Inside you can see some of the great draft horses that pull the Magic Kingdom vehicles on Main Street as well as the Headless Horseman's mighty steed he rides. There is a small display of some historical pictures and also a large authentic calliope wagon. You are limited to where you can go but it is still a fun visit.

If you don't end up bringing your own bikes please know you can rent bikes each day at your resort.
