    We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge. I have read it can take up to an hour by Disney Transportation to all the parks except Animal Kingdom. Is this true? Should I rent a car?

    Hi Mary - in general, it can actually take up to an hour to get to any of the parks at Walt Disney World on the Disney Transportation.  However, that's really the amount of time you should give yourself, but it doesn't always take that long.  The biggest factor is really the wait time for a bus to pick you up, and depending on your timing, it may actually be very fast.  It really depends.

    The decision to rent a car is really a personal choice.  I know some families prefer to rent a car, while my family prefers to take Disney transportation.  Keep in mind that when you drive, you'll have to park in the park lots, which are often quite a distance from the front gate, whereas the buses will drop you off right in front.
