We are staying at Wilderness Lodge and plan to travel to Fort Wilderness to eat at Trail’s End and attend Chip&Dale Sing Along. What’s the best free transportation WL-Trail’s End-Sing Along-back to WL. I worry about how late transport runs at night.

    Hi Paula!
    Welcome back to planDisney.

Ah, Disney's Wilderness Lodge! My favourite hotel of all time, and being close neighbours with Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort you will be pleased to know that you have a choice of transport between these two resorts.

The Blue Flag launch is now sailing between Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Disney's Contemporary Resort (daily, 3.00-10.45pm on a continuous loop, taking approximately 20 minutes for the round-trip). In fact, they run two boats in opposite directions, so your wait time could be considerably shorter than 20 minutes.  At the time of writing, there is also a bus service between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness, but please check with the Front Desk about the timings of this service.

I would use the boat because it docks close to Trails End Restaurant, making it your most convenient choice.  You can check the time of Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long here, but for your arrival date it is taking place between 7.30-9.30pm.   If you are at the boat dock by around 10.00-10.15pm you should have plenty of time to take the boat back to Wilderness Lodge.

There are lots of family activities to enjoy while you are at Wilderness Lodge.  You can request a copy of the most up-to-date Recreation Schedule at the Front Desk.   At Humphrey's Hideout (by Copper Creek Springs Pool) there are different daily activities from 12.00-1.30pm such as painting, Build-A-Button and Make your own Friendship Bracelet.  Following that at 3.30-4.30pm you might take part in Mickey Tie-Dye, Make your own Pixie Dust or Create your own Slime!

Don't forget the poolside activities at Copper Creek Springs Pool at 2.00pm each day, the nightly campfire near Geyser Point Bar & Grill 6.30-7.30pm and Movie Under The Stars at 8.00pm on the lawn outside Reunion Station.

If you love the Resort, I highly recommend the Wonders of the Lodge Art & Architecture Tour, daily at 9.00am.  This is a one-hour walking tour highlighting the architecture and theming of the Resort.  Meet in the lobby just before 9.00am.

Please come back if you have any further questions - you can also send me a direct question about Wilderness Lodge, or anything to help with planning your vacation at Walt Disney World.  We will be happy to help!
