Hi. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge in October. We have bookings for Horseback riding and Archery at Wilderness Camp ground. We plan to take boat from hotel but would we need to then take a bus to the activities as the campgrounds look really big?

    Virginia:

You've got the right idea. You can take the boat from Wilderness Lodge over to the Fort Wilderness campground and then walk about 50 yards to the bus stop on the opposite side of Pioneer Hall from the marina. There, hop on the Orange line bus headed to the Outpost and get off at the bus stop across from the Meadows Trading Post located in the middle of the resort. The Bike Barn is located behind the Meadows, and that's where you'll find the Archery Experience.

Horseback riding is offered at the Tri-Circle D Ranch behind the Outpost Bus Stop at the front of the campground and at the opposite end of the resort from the marina. Any bus headed to the Outpost will get you there. To return to Wilderness Lodge, take any of the buses that are heading to the Settlement and then walk back over to the marina to catch the boat launch.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
