We will be staying at Wilderness Lodge next week. Is it possible to request a small refrigerator instead of a cooler?

Hi Louisa! Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney to ask such a great question. How exciting that your stay at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is just around the corner! That resort is one of my absolute favorites. It’s cozy, elegant, and so perfectly themed that it feels like stepping into a grand national park lodge right in the heart of Walt Disney World Resort.

I’m happy to share that the “beverage cooler” listed under the room amenities at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is, in fact, a small refrigerator. It’s not a traditional mini-fridge with a freezer compartment, but it definitely works perfectly for keeping your drinks chilled and your snacks or leftovers fresh throughout your stay. I’ve personally used this exact fridge type many times during my own visits to Walt Disney World, and it’s always been just right for storing items like fruit, bottled water, yogurt, and even leftovers from dining locations around the resort.

Since these beverage coolers are standard in the Guest rooms, you won’t need to make a special request to have one brought in. It will already be waiting for you when you arrive. If you happen to have any specific medical or dietary needs that require refrigeration at a particular temperature, you can always call the front desk ahead of your trip to explain your situation. In that case, a Cast Member will do their best to assist you!

Louisa, I think you’re going to love every moment of your stay at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Between the crackling fireplaces, the hidden Mickeys in the woodwork, and that stunning view of Bay Lake, it’s one of the most peaceful places to unwind after a day in the parks. Have the most magical trip, and don't hesitate to reach back out to us with your questions!

    Warm hugs,

    Ana Paula
