We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge from 5/16-5/21. That makes us eligible for the $750 gift card promotion. Is it better to use the $750 for food or should we get the dining and plan and use the gift card for other purchases

    Hi Ben!

The Wilderness Lodge seems like a real cool place to stay! I haven't lodged there yet, but our family did visit there one evening to eat at the Whispering Canyon Cafe'. Afterwards, we toured the resort some before leaving. The pictures on the web site doesn't capture how massive this resort really is!

    To answer your question:

You just can't beat Disney's Dining Plans. The Standard Dining Plan will save you 30% and Deluxe Dining saves you 40% (compared to just paying out of pocket). If you and your family like to take Disney Photo Pass photos, or buy any souvenirs or gifts, I'd recommend using the card for those items. From first hand knowledge, a few photos and trinkets here and there will add up fast (smile)!

Good Luck on your trip in May! Check for the Wilderness Lodge geyser!
