We’ll be staying at Wilderness Lodge in July, and I’ve seen a comment elsewhere that the boats are not running between the Lodge and the Fort Wilderness, is that right? I assume they still run to Magic Kingdom.

Hi John Donald! Welcome to planDisney.

Are you ready for your adventure themed to the great Northwest woods of the United States? Disney's Wilderness Lodge is like no other resort at Walt Disney World Resort. Make sure you check out Geyser Point Bar & Grill for cocktails and the famous bison cheeseburger. In the July heat, you will not want to miss a dip in the Copper Creek Springs Pool to cool off.

I confirmed with Disney Transportation, your suggested route from Disney's Wilderness Lodge to reach The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness is to take either a boat or bus to Magic Kingdom Park and to transfer to either a bus or boat to the campgrounds. You could also use rideshare or Minnie Van Services™ if you choose to splurge. At the campgrounds, take a walk over to Tri-Circle-D Ranch to see Cinderella's Ponies in person.

As a guest of a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you have a 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry to all four theme parks. This will give you access to those most popular attractions before the parks officially open. Staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort gives you the additional benefit of Extended Evening Park Hours on select nights at select theme parks. During Extended Evening Park Hours, you can request to join the virtual queue at 6:00 PM for TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise® at Magic Kingdom Park or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT.

    Keeping it Magical,
    Cindy
