    We are staying at the WIlderness Lodge in July. We are doing the Backyard BBQ Can we get there by walking or should we take the boat?

    You will need to take the water launch to Ft. Wilderness. The Wilderness Lodge and Ft. Wilderness are separate resorts and a trail is not provided between the two of them. If you walked via the road, you would arrive the front of Ft. Wilderness which is a distance yet from Mickey's Backyard BBQ.

    Traveling via boat around Bay Lake is very pleasant. You'll board the Blue Launch which goes to Ft. Wilderness, Contemporary and the Wilderness Lodge.

    The dock is down a path to the left of the pool area. It is lit at night. At the end of the dock will be a sign showing you the destinations via the Blue Launch. Note that the Green Launch goes to the Magic Kingdom.
