    Hi Joanne!

You've chosen a fabulous resort for your first "Deluxe" stay!
The amenities, location and setting of Disney's Wilderness Lodge are simply fabulous. My family stayed in a bunk bed room this past June and thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

For children aged 7-9, there are so many options to keep them entertained.
The Cub's Den Kids' Play Space offers supervised fun for children aged 3-12 while parents enjoy an evening out! It's open from 5pm to midnight daily. The beautiful Silver Creek Springs pool has a water slide and provides fun and interactive children's activities in the mid-afternoon each day. Games, dancing, all kinds of poolside fun with Youth Activity Cast Members! Be sure to watch for the 'changing of the guard' in the later afternoon when then lifeguards dance together around the pool. It's quite a sight! Movies Under the Stars happens nightly on the resort beach. Roast some marshmallows and enjoy a Disney film on an outdoor screen! Be sure to visit Fire Rock Geyser which spouts every hour on the hour from early morning until 10pm. For a fun, indoor activity, visit the Front Desk and ask for the Hidden Mickey Hunt game!

Enjoy catch and release Cane Pole Fishing next door at Fort Wilderness.
Also happening just next door is Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long. This nightly feature is a definite 'must-do' to add to your itinerary.

As you can see, there is so much to enjoy at Disney's Wilderness Lodge!
If you wish to read even more about the property, there is a dedicated site produced by 'fans' of the resort. This non-Disney, unofficial site is called wildernesslodgesite and contains all kinds of additional information and photos.

Please feel free to write me back any time if you have additional questions Joanne! I'd love to hear from you again. Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
