I will be staying at the wilderness lodge at the end of March. I am attending some baseball games at the atlanta braves stadium there. Is there a bus from the lodge or do I need to drive.

    Hi there Barbara!

You just mentioned two of my favorite things, the Wilderness Lodge and Atlanta Braves Baseball! Hopefully, the Braves will be making the playoffs this year. It's been too long since they have been in the World Series! If you have access to a car, driving to the Wide World of Sports (WWOS) Complex would be easier than using the Walt Disney World Transportation system. While it is a great system for the parks and Downtown Disney there are only a few resorts which have transportation to the WWOS complex.

According to the ESPN WWOS Website:
Bus transportation to ESPN Wide World of Sports® is available from Disney's All-Star Resorts, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort on a limited schedule:

    Thursday - Monday        5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

These buses will also run when events are taking place at the Sports Complex based on the following schedule:

    O
ne (1) hour prior to Sports Complex opening until 11:00 p.m. or Sports Complex close, whichever is later

During the scheduled operating hours, buses from Disney's All-Star Resorts, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort to ESPN Wide World of Sports® will arrive at the Sports Complex on the hour and ½ hour.

If you do not have car access, you could take a boat to the Magic Kingdom's Transportation center then, take a bus to one of the three resorts which offer bus service to the WWOS complex. It's a lot longer than driving but at least you have that option. I hope this information helps you out with your planning and if you have any additional questions just let me know! We are always here to help!
