We are staying at Wilderness Lodge and will have 2 ECVs. What type room do we need to fit both ECVs inside the room each night and be able to walk around them?

    Howdy, Florie Alyson!

A warm welcome back to planDisney, and thanks for returning with another Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. We're so glad you've entrusted us with helping you to plan an unforgettable getaway! You'll be staying at one of my favorite Disney Resort hotels: Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort. Prepare to be awed by the splendor and beauty of this magnificent Deluxe Resort hotel!

Florie Alyson, while I don't have specific experience traveling with ECVs, my family does always travel with our large stroller and lots of suitcases. We recently stayed in a lovely Fireworks View room at Disney's Wilderness Lodge with two queen beds and found that, if we tucked the stroller and suitcases in the corner of the room near the sliding door, we still had ample space to move about the room. However, if you'll only be traveling as a party of two adults, I recommend choosing a King Bed room. The Standard View rooms at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are ~340 sq. ft. regardless of bed configuration, so choosing a King Bed room will provide extra space for your comfort!

Another option would be a Deluxe Studio at Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. These villas offer plentiful space at ~356 sq. ft. and are located just a short walk from the main lobby of Disney's Wilderness Lodge. My family loves how peaceful and quiet these villas are, and they recently underwent refurbishment! Florie Alyson, if you'd still like to stay within the main building, you might also consider Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. A 1 Bedroom Villa would offer you ~700 sq. ft. of space, comfortably fitting both ECVs with room to spare! The Deluxe Studios are ~338 sq. ft. and would also be a suitable option. If you'd like to request an accessible room, be sure to check the "Accessible Rooms" box when searching for Resort hotels.

Florie Alyson, I hope that you've found this information to be helpful as you continue to prepare for a magical and memorable stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodge! During your stay, I encourage you to make time to see the Electrical Water Pageant as it makes its way around Bay Lake past your Resort hotel. My favorite place to watch the show is from the boat dock at Disney's Wilderness Lodge! If you have any additional planning questions, please feel free to revisit us here at planDisney again anytime. We're here to help you make magical memories!

    Enchantment awaits,
