Hi Anita! Welcome to planDisney! Always happy to help a fellow resident from the Palmetto State!
You have come to the right place because I am fascinated with all things Disney transportation. It amazes me that I can take four different modes in one single day to get around the Walt Disney World Resort. I’ve always read that Walt Disney himself wanted to make the travel to and from different areas as entertaining as the attractions themselves. Fun Fact: When the Magic Kingdom Park was first built, Walt did not want the parking lot to be directly outside of the front entrance. This is the reason why we have the Ticket and Transportation Center for parking and all Guests must come together on either a ferry boat or monorail to arrive at the front gate.
Anita, you have picked the perfect resort to stay at during the holiday season. The main lobby at
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is known for its festive décor and grand Christmas tree. When my family is able to visit during this time, we always make a point to head over to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and take in all of the holiday cheer!
To answer your question, I would advise taking the
water taxi from Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom Park. From the dock, head over to the
Resort Monorail entrance and take it to
Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The monorail will drop you off directly inside the building. Once you finish dining, head back to the
Resort Monorail and take it to the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC). Here you will transfer to the EPCOT Monorail which will take you directly to the front of
EPCOT! At the end of your day, you will have bus transportation available to take you directly back to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
Anita, best of luck with navigating your future trip! Please stop back anytime to planDisney if you need some more planning help!
