Hello!! We will be staying at Wilderness Lodge this Dec (2010). Just wondering how close the Chip n Dale campfire sing-a-long is to the Lodge. Is it within walking distance (have a 5, 4 and 3 year old), otherwise what would be the best way to get there?

Hi Melinda! Although Fort Wilderness is connected to the Wilderness Lodge via a path I would not recommend you using that to reach the Chip and Dale Campfire Singalong.

There is a boat service to Fort Wilderness directly from the Wilderness Lodge boat dock. The ride is relaxing and takes only about 12 minutes. Once you reach Fort Wilderness you can head to the bus area past Pioneer Hall and catch a local bus that will drop you off at the stop closest to the Campfire area. To return you would retrace your steps. You can walk from the boat marina to the campfire area but with three young children I don't recommend that.

It is a lot of fun...nothing like eating a 'smore and watching a movie with Chip and Dale!
