Hi! We will be staying at the wilderness lodge from dec 2-7, 2012---we are not attending the mickey's Christmas party at mk but will we be able to see the fireworks from it on the beach at our hotel?

    Hello Jennifer!

I absolutely LOVE visiting Walt Disney World during the month of December!  The Christmas decorations are truly MAGICAL in every way!!!

I have to be honest and say that Disney's Wilderness Lodge beach area is not the best place to view Wishes Nighttime Spectacular at Magic Kingdom.  With the tall trees, you are able to see some of the higher fireworks and flashes of light, but that is really all you will see from the beach.  Now, if your resort room is facing Magic Kingdom and you are on the fourth floor or higher, then you will be able to see a lot more of the fireworks display.

If you want to view Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from a Walt Disney World resort, I would recommend taking a boat over to Disney's Polynesian Resort and watch the fireworks from the beach.  The view is incredible, AND they pipe in the actual music for everyone to enjoy!

If you have other questions, please let me know!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
