We are staying at Wilderness Lodge 1/30-2/3. Is it better to go to the parks on days with Extra Magic Hours or not (specifically MK and AK)?

Hi Kathleen!!  My family loves the Wilderness Lodge and I know you will have a wonderful time!!!  Luckily for you, you are going to the Walt Disney World Resort during a good time as far as the crowds are concerned.  I love the Extra Magic Hours that the theme parks offer and if utilized properly, can really save you time!!  Morning Extra Magic Hours (1 hour prior to park opening) are great if  you can manage to get to the park about 30 minutes before Extra Magic Hour opening.  You can usually get in a 2-3 attractions in the hour before the regular crowds are allowed to come in.  I would avoid going into a park that has Morning Extra Magic Hours if you are going in at the regular opening time.  There will already be crowds in the park versus going to another park that opened at regular time (with no Extra Magic Hours).  The Evening Extra Magic Hours are a different story.  If you can manage to stick it out about 2 hours into Evening Extra Magic Hours then pretty much every attraction is a walk-on.  We love utilizing Evening Extra Magic Hours to maximize what we can ride!  Hope this helps in  your Disney Vacation planning!

    Have a magical trip!!
