I am staying at the Wilderness Lodge - what is the best route to go to Epcot traveling with a 4 year old? Does is it work better to take a boat to the contemporary and then hook up to the monorail or is taking the bus the best way?

    Hi Stephen,

I stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodge often and I much prefer to take the boat to the back of Disney's Contemporary Resort and then transfer to the monorail.  (Remember, you'll need to switch over to the Epcot-bound monorail at the Ticket & Transportation Center next).  While this route requires more transfers, I find it much more fun. It will break the trip up for your son or daughter.  Depending on the time of day, the complimentary Disney buses can be very crowded so I'd prefer the boat and monorail route any time.  (No trip is complete without a ride on the monorail at Walt Disney World!)

If, on the other hand, you have a sleeping four-year-old on the way back from Epcot, then I'd opt for the Disney bus as it will be more direct.

Sending you extra pixie dust for a magical Walt Disney World vacation!  Your four-year-old is going to have the time of his or her life!
