Hi Nancy!
You booked my favorite type of room at my favorite resort! The 1 Bedroom in the Villas at Wilderness Lodge is a great place to stay. There's a lot of room in the bedroom and the living room, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer. The sofa bed in the living room is relatively comfortable. Be sure to make an advanced dining reservation for the
Whispering Canyon Cafe. It's a great family restaurant that is a lot of fun for the whole family; they also have good food! If you go, be sure to ask for a bottle of ketchup or insist on getting a large drink!
The water shuttle to and from the Magic Kingdom is great. I find the trip at night to be especially magical. There is also a boat that runs between the Contemporary Resort, the Wilderness Lodge, and Fort Wilderness. It makes getting to either two resorts easy. Thus you might want to consider making a dining reservation at the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. The boat from the Wilderness Lodge drops guests off at the marina in the Settlement Area of Fort Wilderness. Thus Pioneer Hall and the Hoop-Dee-Doo-Musical Revue are only a few minutes away from the boat dock. If you have never done it before, it is definitely a "must do"!
Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
