Staying at Ft. Wilderness in June. Have reservations for Bkfst.with Chef Mickey at 9 a.m. one morning. I was told to allow 1 1/2 hrs. to get to Contemporary. What mode of transportation will we use and why is this amount of time needed? Thanks.

Hi Mary Jane! To get from Fort Wilderness to the Contemporary, you can take the boat that runs between Fort Wilderness and the Magic Kingdom and then just walk 10 minutes to the Contemporary. Don't worry about needing or using a park ticket as the boat launch is outside the park. The other option is to take a boat that runs between Fort Wilderness, the Wilderness Lodge, and the Contemporary. You should hop on the first boat that comes in my opinion. I would plan on the trip taking an hour. That includes time for waiting for a boat, the ride itself, and then the walk to Chef Mickey's. However, most likely it will be less as boats run about every 20 minutes. I hope this helps! Write back if you have any more questions!
