Staying at Ft. Wilderness in June. I know there is a bus to transport us to Magic Kingdom. Where does it drop you off at and then pick you up for return to Ft. Wilderness? Does it run smoothly, or a mad stampede (especially at the end of the day)?

Hey, Mary Jane! Magic Kingdom is just a stone's throw away from Fort Wilderness. Well, at least it is for me with my Paul Bunyan-like strength. Nevertheless, it is close by. The easiest, most direct route to Magic Kingdom from Fort Wilderness is via boat, which you can pick up near Settlement Depot.

Taking a bus from Fort Wilderness to Magic Kingdom is much more involved. You'd have to take a bus from Fort Wilderness to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and then grab the monorail or ferry over to Magic Kingdom. The ride is smooth enough if you choose to go the bus route. You'd have fewer people electing this transportation option on the way there; however, the way back would be packed with people waiting to get back to the TTC where they parked for the day.

All in all, I'd go with the boat.
