Staying at the Ft Wilderness Cabins for the 1st time soon & wondered if the area is bike friendly? We enjoy biking in the evening & non-park days & would like to bring our bikes.

    Hi Denise,

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! If you’re familiar with the Country Bears, you’ve probably heard there’s “nothing like the great outdoors to ease your soul.” I love that you want to spend your free time at The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort enjoying a bike ride through the scenic woods.

I have great news, Denise! I checked with a Cast Member who confirmed that you can bring your own bicycles to The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, as long as you stay on the paths and areas that allow bicycle use. If you decide not to bring your own bikes, there are Bike Rentals available at The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Adult and children’s bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis and currently include complimentary helmets and child seats. When you arrive at the Resort, visit the Lobby and ask for a Resort Map to find the location of the Bike Barn, where the bike rentals are available.

I hope this information was helpful, Denise! I’m sure you’re excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit! If you have any future questions, please see me again at planDisney!

Forget your cares and join us bears in the great outdoors!
