We are staying at the Wilderness cabins in Sept. 2011. We would like to be close to the main bus stop so we wont have to wait too long for the bus. What loop of cabins would be the best to stay in.

    Sharon:

Loop 2800 is the closest one to the Outpost Bus Stop where you'll be catching the buses to the theme parks. However, some may think that the walk is farther than they like.  (But to me, it's very doable, about a 10-minute walk.) There are internal buses that run from the cabin loops to the Outpost. Stops are in front of Loops 2200, 2600, and 2800 for those internal buses.

"Best" is different for every loop, but Loop 2800 is nicely wooded and closest to the bus stop, probably "best" for what you're looking for. It is farthest from the main pool and campfire, but you can hop an internal bus for that if you didn't want to walk.

I recommend making a note on your reservation for not only Loop 2800--but tell them why: You'd like to be near The Outpost Bus Stop (not just a bus stop). Although Disney doesn't guarantee requests, they can certainly try to make it happen and will know what you're looking for.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
