We're staying at Ft Wilderness cabins next week and not sure what to pack for cabin supplies. Should I bring all my own soap, paper towels, etc or are there some basic items in stock? I know we need to supply our own food but wasnt sure what else.

    Hi Julie!

The Fort Wilderness Cabins is a great choice for a relaxing stay at Walt Disney World. Set among the pine trees of this resort you will find all new refurbished cabins that come complete with grills and picnic tables and much more.

Each will have one bedroom with a queen bed and bunk beds, a large bathroom, living and dining areas, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a queen pull out sofa in the living area as well.

The kitchen is indeed complete. The "mouse keepers" will provide daily housekeeping service and they will replenish your coffee needs and paper towel in the kitchen. They will also provide the dish soap and the dishwasher powder so you can keep up with the dishes. Bakeware, utensils, plates, and cups and more all come in the kitchen.

The bathroom will be supplied with soaps, shampoos, and conditioners as well as towels. Consider a cabin as no different from any other resort room on property. You receive the same amenities but the brands can change from resort to resort.

As I mentioned above you will have daily housekeeping. They will come in and make up the beds, change your towels out and vacuum or sweep the floors when necessary. I have found that it can take a little longer for housekeeping at the cabins due to the fact they must also take care of a kitchen as well as it takes more time to move from one to another in each loop.

You can bring your food, use the service from a food delivery company, or purchase some simple supplies at the resort Trading Post. I like to use the delivery service and prefer gardengrocers.com. They have a wide variety of products to choose from and they will deliver on the day of your check-in so you are ready to go right away.

Enjoy your stay at one of my favorite places to be!
