Hello Terri!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort Campsites and Cabins are beautiful. The whole resort is truly stunning and so tranquil it's like the very forest Princess Aurora grew up in. We love visiting my parents when they join us on our Walt Disney World Resort vacations as they usually stay in their motorhome in the campsites.
The last thing we want to hear, here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel, is that there might be an upset 5-year-old. As one who has planned quite a few Disney vacations, I know how important it is to try and make all our little one's Disney dreams come true. If it's your child's wish to enjoy a wonderful breakfast with Pooh and friends at
The Crystal Palace and you've been able to make the necessary plans and an Advance Dining Reservation to do so, then transportation shouldn't stand in the way. Luckily, I found
this incredible answer from our resident Disney's Fort Wilderness Master, Kay. She was able to make a few phone calls and do a little digging to make sure that Guests using an ECV will still be able to make it to their early morning Magic Kingdom reservations. As she explains, you'll need to take a bus rather than boat and leave yourself plenty of transportation time, but they'll make sure you're able to reach your destination.
Have a magical stay, Terri, and please let us know if there is anything else we are able to assist you with.
Pixie Dust,
Lauren
